Showing once again that they won"t be pinned into any category, Heart of Cygnus is back with their third CD (after releasing their second back on March 31st 2009), "Tales From Outer Space!", a glorified EP - almost LP - that is woven together with space travel and adventure being the thread. At times reflecting progressive tendencies as with "Awake, Sleeper", at other times showing a classic rock flair in the spirit of Queen on "In the Days of the Galactic Alliance", or perhaps some ELO/Todd Rundgren echoes with "The Last Man" and "Starship Troopers," HoC takes us on a trip through time and space, from the adventures of a mysterious spaceship captain, to the last surviving man of the human race, to cosmic bug battles on distant planets. TFOS marks a step forward in production and songwriting for the duo, being well received thus far. As of early December 2009, Heart of Cygnus has added a guitarist and bassist and are slated to perform at Keep It True XIII in Germany. Look for more tour dates and a fourth CD in 2010.
