The Foamers formed in 1996 in a pub in Epsom, Surry (UK). Six Pints None The Wiser is heavily influenced by label-mates Choking Victim and Snuff but devise their own brand of drunken pop-induced 4/4 ska/punk where staccato drumming is punctuated with snarling politico-punk lyrics and guitar riffs more metallic than power-pop. Coming off as most authentic than many of the bands that were more commercially popular during the late 90"s resurgence of punk and ska, the band"s minimal dose of horns is a welcome pacing device on the albums last and title track, "Six Pints None The Wiser" and this album is an essential collection piece for fans of Choking Victim and Operation Ivy.
