The Massy Harbison-Fort Hand Chapter, NSDAR has collected and published a diverse group of family stories from its active members. This book grew out of our view that it is just as important to record and preserve events, legends, traditions, and perceptions, as it is to research and record the more usual, often dry, genealogical facts such as dates of birth, marriage, and death in the family tree. We are attempting to put some meat on the bones of history. Here are stories from six centuries of American history reflecting good times and bad, sometimes humorous and sometimes tragic.
