The Aleutian Archipelago, the home of the Aleut forms the cultural crossroads of the north Pacific. Waldemar Jochelson spent the years 1909 to 1910 in the Aleutian islands conducting ethnological, archaeological and linguistic studies. This book is his summary of the expedition and is still the foundation for understanding the anthropology of the Aleut.
