Tara Jane O"Neil is a US singer-songwriter with three previous albums, two on Touch & Go"s Quarterstick (Calexico & Rachel"s). She previously played with early post-rock pioneers Rodan, contemporaries of Slint (both from the burgeoning Louisville, Kentucky scene), plus Restin, Come & the Sonora Pine. "Bones" features tracks spanning ruminative, hypnotic instrumentals to subdued, enigmatic post-folk, vocals floating in airy layers of guitar, strings & piano. Two tracks featured come from 2003 minor-release 7 inch & one from O"Neil"s Japan-only art book (which featured a bonus three inch CD). 12 tracks packaged in a miniature LP gatefold sleeve.
