Sammy and Wullie are two lifelong pals with widely diverse opinions both socially and politically. Sammy is a dodgy second hand car dealer and Wullie, a builder, is of a similar ilk. Ella, Sammy"s wife, has a very rich brother, Chuck, living in the USA who retires home to Glasgow to spend his ill-gotten gains. Meeting a tragic death, on the golf course, he leaves Ella an extremely wealthy woman. With Ella"s inheritance, and in keeping with her new social standing, she insists that Sammy becomes an upmarket car dealer which he hates. The pals then set about returning him to his old familiar ways of life. Along the way you get to meet their cronies and the hilarious adventures they are involved in.
