Following guitarist Ed Kuepper"s departure in 1978, and the indifferent response to the Saints second album Eternally Yours, the band disintegrated. But singer Chris Bailey pressed on, keeping the name and playing with a new line up. After recording Monkey Puzzle in 1980 and Casablanca in 1982, he persuaded original members Kim Bradshaw (bass) and Ivor Hay (drums) to rejoin the band.
