This is a Trumpeter 1/35 Scale assembly and painting required plastic model kit of the World War II era German Ardelt-built self-propelled gun and "weapon carrier" mounting a powerful PaK 43 heavy anti-tank gun on a modified panzer 38(d) chassis. Model kit features: Vehicle has well detailed hull exterior and running gear, individual link track, driver"s compartment interior, pivoting driver"s armored visor, rear ammunition storage bin with poseable doors, pivoting travel lock, 88mm rounds and spent casings. Weapon features fully rendered gun with multi-part breech, telescoping equilibrators, intricate gun laying mechanisms, metal barrel sleeve and optional turned metal gun barrel. Also includes photo-etch parts (including fenders, tread plate, gun shield, shell casing primer caps, 6-round ammo caisson, brackets, hinges, latches and additional fine vehicle and weapon accents). Decals and color painting guide for a single German waffenträger - includes driver"s dash panel, barrel kill ring markings, national insignia and numerals (red with white outline) 0-9 (x2). 690 plus parts, 20 sprues and lower hull. Length: 213.5 mm, Width: 70 mm. It has been said that only two prototypes of the PaK 43 Waffentrager were ever built, and its service record is unclear. It has been mentioned that both Waffentrager served in the Eastern front, and one survived and had been on display at Kubinka, Russia Tank Museum.
