This book is a comprehensive guide to infusing multicultural education into the classroom. The author, Rose Reissman, relates many of her experiences as an inner-city, middle school language arts teacher and teacher educator in an engaging, concrete way. The book shows how teachers can actively involve their students in projects that promote academic excellence and cultural understanding, involve multiple intelligences, and benefit the community.
