Color Atlas Microneurosurgical Approach
This is a colour guide to cranial base and intracranial midline procedures. When surgery of the brain or skull base is necessary for structures lying deep within the hemispheres, the major challenge is reaching the lesion without damaging vital structures along the way. This requires: a familiarity with and a firm grasp of the microsurgical anatomy encountered while operating, not only with regard to the location of structures, but also their interrelationships; and an understanding of how these relationships change depending on the perspective of the approach used. The atlas provides the basis for this knowledge by comparing traditional neuroanatomical views from dissections with corresponding surgical perspectives presented through intraoperative photographs. The book is divided into two main sections: "Approaches to the Cranial Basee" and Approaches to the Intracranial Midline".
