Sally Soupy is a well-worn doll who is much loved by her owner, Nancy Galloway. Since Nancy calls her her "bestest friend," Sally imagines herself to be more than just a doll. When Sally Soupy is injured by a naughty boy, a new doll is brought in to take her place.
