The study of the professor at the New York University describes not only the expansion of Germany to the East during 1917-1918 in hope of annexation of Ukraine, but also the history of the Crimea, Black Sea region, the Polish issue, and the relations between Germany and Russia at that period. The book was first published in 1971.
