After 23 years of working in the Sales Division of a local cemetery, David was forced to retire as a result of his mental disability, and presently lives with his wife, Dottie in Dayton, Ohio. In Vietnam, David began to suffer mentally from the affects of such a hostile environment, his nerves, under combat conditions, eventually forced him to seek psychiatric counseling for his depression, anxiety, fears, PTSD, panic attacks & continual thoughts of suicide. Since David left the military, he has been under the care of private psychologist, and presently, he remains under the guidance and supervision of the Veteran"s Administration Mental Health Doctors, 100% disabled. David Kingman"s constant companion for the past twenty years has been writing. He wrote a 300 page book featuring more than 500 biographies of prominent local citizens buried in Dayton, (The Shrines of Woodland) which was purchased by the historic cemetery. David"s Science Fiction Book, (RAL, SPACE COLONIZER) reflects his life and mental health issues, as visualized through the eyes of Ral, the books main character. David realized that in effort to write a successful book, he would need to write about familiar subjects. David had studied the Bible for more than 30 years, so he knew he was well versed in the scriptures, he also loved the old Star Trek TV Series, and he had lived daily with alcoholism, drugs and mental illness, so he decided to combine it all into his book. David after four failed marriages, brought about by his mental issues, is now married to Dottie Kingman, (Singer & Songwriter) a very supportive wife that keeps him walking the straight and narrow way. She thanks God daily for David"s medications e.g., Trazodone HCL and the other psychotropic medications that make her life so much more bearable, while living with David"s psychosis. It is David"s sincere desire that his book will inspire young and old to come to a personal relationship with their Creator.
