The pairing of these two musicians for a split 7" may seem a bit odd, but anyone familiar with their backgrounds knows that they are both deep-rooted in the Midwest punk/hardcore scene - William Elliot Whitmore was both a roadie and opener for Iowa City"s Ten Grand (who released a CD & 7" on Init) and P.O.S. playing guitar in Minneapolis hardcore band Building Better Bombs (whose debut full-length CD/LP is on Init). Both have connections to the Init Records roster and management that actually pre-date the existence of the label itself! This limited edition split 7" has a brand new unreleased song from each musician, both exclusive to this release.
