The then husband and wife team of Baron Frederik Van Pallandt and Baroness Nina Moller, better know as Nina & Frederik, first gained attention with their 1957 recording Jamaica Farewell backed with Come Back Liza, which attracted considerable airplay attention in 1959. Although this single failed to become a hit, it did prompt further releases, with Mary"s Boy Child becoming their first UK hit in December 1959. Whilst they were to enjoy limited chart success, their UK popularity was such that they hosted a number of their own shows throughout the sixties.
