Paddlers on this section will view the Bigelow range which includes many of Maine"s highest peaks and where the Appalachian Trail crosses a distant ridge line. A special treat on this section is Grand Falls, a spectacular 30-ft. waterfall (see cover photo of this map) that you"ll spend time portaging around.
