The Sound of Sound opens with "Monkey Business," a long-awaited reunion between reggae"s definitive rhythm section Sly & Robbie and Black Uhuru singer Michael Rose that"s as strong as any of their previous work together. Though the remainder of the record never reaches quite the same peak, the performances are uniformly fine, especially Garnet Silk"s "Green Light" and Judy Mowatt"s "Stop in the Name of Love." ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
