All passages in both the Common Lectionary and the Revised Common Lectionary are included. Additional preaching texts appearing in neither of these lectionaries have been added for the benefit of preachers who do not use lectionaries.The Seasonal Index lists hymns and other worship resource suggestions for use on various days and seasons of the Christian year. Suggestions are included for special days designated by General Conference, many civic holidays, and other special events that occur regularly in the life of the local church.Robert D. Ingram is a retired United Methodist pastor with 40 years of experience in planning and leading worship.
