This volume brings together recent, basic scientific knowledge relevant to patients with cystic fibrosis (CF). It considers the shift in management, now that there is an increased survival of patients with CF into adulthood. It includes contributions from a number of paramedics who make up the team of those included with caring for CF patients. There is also a chapter on future prospects which looks at the exciting developments in both gene and drug therapy.
