Mr B, hungry and thirsty, asks his landlady, Madam the Madam for a tiny loan to help him buy food. But Madam prefers to spend her money on funerals. When Madam hears that Mr B is dead, she arranges an expensive funeral for him and there begins a number of exciting adventures for Mr B, Alali, Josco, Dandy, Segi and Madam.
