11 years after independence, the situation in Zimbabwe has settled down, the terrorism has largely been solved and the Zimbabwean authorities are eager to attract tourists, with their all-important foreign exchange. There is much of the country that will appeal to the visitor in search of new experiences: the wildlife and gamelodges, the landscapes which range from the Victoria Falls to the lake-studded contours of Nyanga and the mountains of Vumba in the Eastern Highlands as well as the rock formations of the Matapos.
