The injection-molded plate features an egg-shaped bubble that constantly flexes up and down to keep snow from stalling in the crampon frame and freezing to its rails. The new style of plate is available for G10, G12, G14, Air Tech and Air Tech Light crampons. The older style (black Latex) which functions in a similar manner albeit less effectively is available for the 2F and Rambo crampons.
