Suffering in Humanity

Would you believe that a band with 18 years of band history released only 2 Full Lenghts by now? In case of Severance, it"s the brutal fact. Formed in 1989, this band from Texas has been playing aggressive Death Metal for quite a long time, serving extreme metal to the underground scene. Till 1996 they released two Demos ("Procreation" and "Afterbirth of Infamy") and one EP ("Salvation Denied"). In 2001 the released "What Lies Ahead...", and you"d believe they"d broken up for that time between the releases. But it seems that Severance had been lurking for their moment to strike with a giant jackhammer. And they fucking did. First "What Lies Ahead..." and now "Suffering In Humanity", a release full of aggression, strenght and power. In a time where most bands tend to get faster, more progressive, refining their technic and going with the time, Severance just fucking blow and torch. In the bands music you can really sense influences from Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and Pyrexia. This release is fucking 50 minutes of skull crushing Death Metal. No more words are neccessary to give you the impression you need to get yourself this piece of dead bloody meat. Just go for it and later on you can enjoy it.
