This volume was created at the request and with the underwriting of Norske Conoco (Stavanger) and the Conoco Predictive Stratigraphy Group (Houston). It was done in response to their inability to find a published basinwide synthesis of the Stevens Sandstone system since G.W. Webb"s excellent and often-cited Stevens paper in the 1981 AAPG Bulletin.
