Go into All the World celebrates two centennials: one hundred years of Friends work in East Africa and the one hundredth anniversary of the establishment of Five Years Meeting of Friends, now Friends United Meeting. Our purpose in this commemorative book is to give the reader a brief look at the lives of Friends, not the whole story. Friends in East Africa appointed a committee to research and write about the life of the Religious Society of Friends in East Africa. We invite you to think of this book as a "family album" that highlights five periods of Friends work in Kenya: the vision, the beginnings of Friends work, the middle or development or growth period, the present, and the hopes and dreams and projections about where Friends in East Africa are going from here. Appendices include a listing of Friends United Meeting Missionaries to Kenya, 1902-2002, a map of Friends Meetings in Kenya, and a full index. Color photographs on the cover augment many black and white pictures throughout the book.
