All new for 2013 is the CCM Extreme Flex 400 Catch Glove. The E-Flex is more of a catching glove than previous Lefebvre designed gloves. The pocket size has been increased from the Reebok Premier 4 580 and 590 model catchers. The cuff box size has been reduced to provide maximum catching surface. The break angle is optimized so that the glove has a full hand closure, meaning that all four fingers and the thumb are used to close the glove. An HD foam finger rail has been added to the backside of the catcher for added protection along the backside of the fingers. The back cuff is free floating from the catcher allowing the goalie to protrude the glove out and forward. This allows the goalie to really square the glove up to the shooter. Inside the glove there are two tightening straps; one on the backside of the hand, and a wrist lock. This gives the goalie the option to wear the glove as tight or as loose as they would like for a true custom fit. The 400 series is a great entry level glove. The outside is made of polyurethane leather material. The nylon found on the 400 model is a 400D, the same that is used on the 500 series catcher. The 400 senior and junior models are available in a 2 piece cuff. The 400 series can not be personally customized but is offered in our own unique custom colors! FAST CLOSURE: Optimal finger positioning provides comfortable hand positioning to improve performance. NET COVERAGE: Radiused thumb provides a wider opening and larger catching surface area to maximize net coverage. PROTECTION: Additional foam on the finger tip area increases protection on the back of the hand. REBOUND CONTROL: Low-density soft foam at the center of the T-pocket reduces rebounds to provide increased control.
