The 2.25 lb. axe head is coated with light oil to prevent rusting. 28"L Grade "A" American hickory handle. Modeled after the "Boy"s Axe" and sharpened to the USFS sharpening gauge. Blade is forged from 5160 grade alloy steel. Heat treated to Rc 52-56 for superior edge holding and durability.
