SOLAR PROJECT is, with fellow countrymen RPWL, one of the best PINK FLOYD-influenced bands of today. German musicians Robert VALET (Keyboards) and Peter TERHOEVEN (Guitar) recorded their first album under that name in 1990 ("The Final Solution"), and kept improving their art since. Published in the year 2004 on the Musea label, "Force Majeure" is already the sixth effort by the group ! This conceptual album deals with the influence of the forces of nature on mankind, as well as the brutal elementary power inflicted by the homo-sapiens onto himself. Musically speaking, the listener’s going to find complex Progressive rock, sometimes heavy, sometimes gilmouresque. The own personality of SOLAR PROJECT shines all along those four long tracks (Divided in various parts), one of them reaching half an hour. Without any doubt, this release will be one of the absolute highlights of the year !
