Protect and beautify the exposed ends of your posts with these beautiful 100% solid copper post caps. Installation is simple requiring only exterior grade silicone adhesive. Nails or screws may be used, but holes are not pre-drilled. These caps measure approximately 3.75" by 3.75" square and 1.75" tall. The lip is just over 3/8"deep. Copper thickness is approximately .5 mm and the weight of each cap is approximately 1.8 ounces. These will fit a nominal 4x4" post which measures 3.5" x 3.5". (They will not fit a true 4"x4".) Caps are will patina (turn green) over time. This process may be slowed by applying a high quality car wax every six months or a high quality polyurethane. Color differences seen in the photos are due to photos being taken in different lighting conditions and is realistic to what you can expect.
