The Little Giant is made of heavy-wall 6005-T5 aluminum, and while it possesses a workload capacity of 300 pounds, it has been tested to withstand four times that amount without structural failure. The Little Giant replaces different sizes of step ladders, an extension ladder, 2 scaffolding trestles, and a staircase ladder. In fact, it would take about $500 to replace the capabilities of the Little Giant. Even then, you would still lack the versatility, durability, and storage benefits incorporated into the Little Giant Ladder System. Stores at 5"7". Opens to a 5", 6", 7", 8", or 9" stepladder. As an extension ladder, it is adjustable in 1" increments from 11"-19". Because each side of the ladder is adjustable, you can shorten one side of the stepladder and use it on stairs. You can also separate this ladder to make 2 trestles for scaffolding.
