Los Walkysons are a throwback frat rock combo from Barcelona, Spain. Don"t be fooled by that title -- it"s just a little Walky humor for you. This is the band"s first record, appearing from the Spanish surf/trash/R&B imprint El Toro. Those same genres inform the Walkysons" sound, too. "J.A.J." is a lively, organ-led instrumental; "Wild Dance" is rave-up R&B akin to U.S. combos like the Hi-Fives; and "Lenin"s Mummy [Goes to the Pipeline]" unleashes some killer reverb surf guitar while nodding to Russian folk music.
