The MIDJAY Plus is designed to be a perfect show machine for the DJ and live entertainer. Midjay Plus incorporates a 80G hard disk, USB, MIDI, WAV and Mp3 player capabilities. It provides hard disk recording, video interface, floppy disk drive, a large high resolution LCD display, stereo line input, microphone and optional vocalize. The machine is fitted also with a hi-quality sound generator, with punchy drum sets, special effects and realistic instrumental voices. An alpha dial plus eight sliders for separate volume control and special fast access tabs ensure the easiest live performance control for Midi, Wave and Mp3 files. A sophisticated automatic cross fade function allows blending from one file to the next, regardless of which audio file is playing. A powerful built-in search engine and the ability to connect to a computer make transferring and finding files a breeze. An extensive MIDI file editor, allows the possibility to change parameters, sounds and controls for each track. Files can be addressed numerically or alphabetically or can be directly scrolled. The user can also easily associate and synchronize lyrics or text files with MIDI files, waves and Mp3s. The Microphone section comprises preamp, gain, filter, effects. A wide variety of GM sounds, preset voices, sound effects, drum sets, and live drum loops that can be selected and controlled using the on-board controls and backlit LCD, or by an external MIDI device. The arranger functions, which include multiple intros, fill-ins, breaks, and endings, can be assigned and controlled using an optional footswitch or MIDI keyboard. The Midjay has excellent connectivity, including stereo RCA line input, 1/4" mic in, a 1/4" stereo out, USB, MIDI in/out/thru, and a VGA out.
