This light head can be used for portraits, group photos or product photography. And because this is a monolight, there is no need to lug around a heavy external power pack. This unit will plug into any standard household 110 volt outlet and can be triggered by attaching the enclosed sync cord or it can be used as a slave device and triggered by another flash, like the one on your camera. The SL300 come with a 30" x 30" softbox with a removable grid that will give you the kind of soft light prized by photographers. The grid is used to keep your lighting directional so that your light falls on your subject and doesn"t bleed all over the scene. Without the grid, this softbox will create a flattering wrap around light that will soften the imperfections of your subjects, making them less perceptible.
