The 5-to-10 year old children on this CD created ALL of the lyrics, sang and rapped ALL of the vocals, and played and improvised virtually all of the music. To be exact, they played everything except a single prerecorded loop each in "I Want Candy" (the piano at the end) and "Do The Lollipop" (the synthesizer 8th notes that run in the background) and a couple of parts in "Happy-Go-Lucky Day." The rest was played or programmed by the children. The tracks for each piece were recorded in a single afternoon between 3:15 and 5:30 p.m.. They learned to program a drum machine module in Reason, and then record keyboard parts, vocals including human beatbox sounds, and easy-to-play traditional instruments in GarageBand or Digital Performer.
