The clamps have a one touch release to remove or remount your device. WHERE DOES IT MOUNT? The mount itself inserts into the CD drive and locks into place through the use of a screw and pressure lock. The slot is composed of two separate wedge inserts which expand in the opposite direction with each turn of the screw. And finally this insert will not interfere with the operation of the CD Player. INSTALLATION: Please contact us for our instructional video which includes exact details on how to assemble this mount. Here"s a brief step by step. 1. Take cradle connector and align with the slots on the cradle base 2. Firmly snap the connector into the cradle base and apply downward pressure until you hear a firm pop. If your mount base appears to "fall off" as some have stated you have not installed the connector properly. 3. Connect the ball mount wedge to the ball mount connector; use the screw to secure and adjust position 4. Insert Plastic Blade into CD player slot; turn the knob until the mount holds firm. 5. Insert your device and position accordingly. Installation Tip: One of the key points in the mount assembly is in the connection between the ball mount and the cradle. We find it best to actually snap the female ball mount base into the mount cradle before attaching the ball mount and wedge.
