The Detroit Spinners Live
Price 6.91 - 10.44 USD
Although hailing from Detroit, The Spinners (the Detroit prefix was added to avoid confusion with the British folk group of the same name) enjoyed their biggest hits as purveyors of some of the finest Philadelphia soul music ever heard. Working with Thom Bell between 1972 and 1976, they assumed the mantle previously occupied by The Stylistics and took such recordings as The Rubberband Man, Could It Be I m Falling In Love and I ll Be Around to the upper echelons of the chart. Original group members Pervis Jackson, Henry Farnbrough and Bobbie Smith are joined by Frank Washington and Harold Spike Bonhart on this live CD recorded in 2006.
