ABOUT THE AUTHOR George Naugle has been hunting and fishing since he was old enough to legally do those things, and perhaps even a bit longer than that. For most of his years, he taught science in a public high school. This took much time away from the outdoor things he really loved to do. During the years of work, hunting was limited to that which could be done locally, and all of those exotic destinations were just dreams. Of course, raising children and buying a house cut into the financial resources available for the good stuff. Having retired from the battlefields of public education in 1994, George was now free to pursue his dreams of going where the Jack O"Connors and Craig Boddingtons of the world had gone. His first hunting trip away from his native Pennsylvania had been an expedition to northern Quebec for caribou in 1991, and that whetted his appetite. Upon retiring, he booked a hunt for moose in northern Alberta and the whole thing took off from there. When asked recently, he referred to himself as one of the luckiest guys on the face of the earth, to paraphrase Lou Gehrig. He and his wife Doris live in southcentral Pennsylvania with their dogs, cats, and horses. ABOUT THE BOOK George Naugle entertained his readers with his first collection of hunting stories in THE LUCKIEST HUNTER ALIVE, published in 2003. Since then, George has been back to Africa twice, to New Zealand, to Canada several times, and has hunted in western and southern states. This book contains more original stories about adventures in faraway places, his hunting camps and the people who hunt with him, and a few fishing tales as well. In this second book, George brings another collection of stories, including three humorous works of fiction which readers will enjoy. A new generation of hunters is introduced-Will and Mike Lloyd, the sons of Bill Lloyd, a charter member of Camp Bucktail. The reader joins Will as he becomes the first member of the Lloyd family to ever take a buck. For the reader who loves to hunt, THE LUCKIEST HUNTER collections have it all.
