Cyprus 1947. Two boys, one English and the other Greek Cypriot meet at Famagusta. They become fast friends until the English boy leaves the island to join the Army. The Greek boy becomes embroiled in EOKA, fighting the British for self determination for Cyprus. The English boy returns with the Army and they are notional enemies.
