This latest book in the "Exploring Methodism" series tells the story of the largest of the denominations which merged into the 1932 Methodist Union. The author makes many interesting connections with a wide range of aspects of social and cultural history which suggest that the Wesleyans were by no means an obscure part of Non-conformity.
