Men, Work, and Family (SAGE Series on Men and Masculinity)
Men have traditionally been labelled as providers and women as nurturers; however, recent research on the work//family nexus has revealed that a far more complex situation exists in contemporary life. While many men fill the stereotypical role, an equal number face the same stresses that confront working women. In this volume, articles present new research on the diversity of men"s work//family relationships, addressing a variety of family structures, characteristics and nationalities. The work of well-known researchers in the field is included, and a wide range of methods and populations studied.
