The reliability part works when you couple it with the correct computer parts and computer software. It is a very fast dvd burner at 24x and is basically the new high standard for everybody to yield up too. Some have these speeds, but they aren"t consistent or the buffer underrun is very weak and it can"t handle the data its transmitting if it loses speed.
