Mark O"Leary"s is now getting a lot of attention now after releasing recordings with Matthew Shipp, Mat Maneri, Billy Hart and Thomas Stanko. This time it is with the pianist Uri Caine and drummer Ben Perowsky. As Steve Day writes in his liner notes: "This is a total attention grabber...the O"Leary guitar is a many splendored thing; it shapes sounds rather than destroys it, breaks convention before building up a new wealth of transparent melody, takes away the moment and then gives back alternative timing."
