Scope This Out Build your own telescope--Galileo did. This is a fun project for one, or maybe a team of two, and you end up with quite a nice little telescope with glass lenses. You build a StarScout 40mm refracting telescope with a 20mm Kellner eyepiece for 25X magnification and a standard 1/4 X 20 mount. Will be 20" long. In black plastic, it assembles easily in about a half-hour, and comes with (3) sets of decals to customize it, plus a 16-1/2" x 11-5/8" planisphere chart.
