ProtoCast 85R Urethane Resin 4.25 pounds (2 quarts)
Price 49.99 USD
ProtoCast 85R is a very low viscosity, rapid setting, and rigid urethane compound with high strength and durometer. This system will cure quickly to a hard, tough impact resistant casting. ProtoCast 85R is non-sensitive to moisture after cure and will readily bond to itself, as stage pours are required. The 1:1, by volume, mix ratio makes for easy hand or machine mix. Storage temperatures should not exceed 80° F. The shelf life of factory sealed containers stored under these conditions is six months. Containers that have been opened should be resealed immediately after material has been removed in order to prevent solvent evaporation.Mixing:Before using the PureCast 605 Urethane Resin, make sure the two components are at room temperature. Measure 100 parts A to 86 parts B by weight or 1:1 by volume. Start mixing immediately and be sure to scrape the material off the sides of the mixing container. Mix for at least one minute. Pouring:After thorough mixing, pour the Resin mix into the ComposiMold mold cavity. The resin will begin to cure and solidify within 5 to 7 minutes depending on the temperature. Wait approximately 1 hour before removing the part from the ComposiMold mold. Less time may deform the part.
