Mary Frances Blaisdell (1874-? ) was the author of numerous books for children at the beginning of the twentieth century, including: Pretty Polly Flinders (1914), Bunny Rabbit"s Diary (1915), Polly and Dolly (1919), Tommy Tinker"s Book (1911), Twilight Town (1913) and Cherry Tree Children (1922). With her sister Etta Austin Blaisdell, later Mrs. McDonald (1872-? ), she co-authored: Life (1900), Child Life in Literature (1900), Child Life in Many Lands (1900), The Child Life Primer (1901), Child Life in Tale and Fable (1902) and Boy Blue and His Friends (1906).
