When set in the other mode it becomes a Martingale collar, giving you a tighter grip when leading your dog. pparkPets Two-way Collar has 2 loops; when the smaller loop, which is the "control loop", is pulled, it tightens the larger loop to prevent a dog from slipping out of the collar. In the "normal leash" mode, you need to hook both metal rings to the snap clip of your leash and the collar won"t slip any longer. Compared to a regular slip collar, our two-way collar has limited constriction on a dog"s neck and applies even pressure, and that is why the no-slip feature has made this kind of collars a safety standard at many kennels and animal shelters. It does not make your dog choke or gag the way other slip training collars do. It still forces your dog to learn not to pull when walking, and that is why it is an excellent training collar.
