This is a one-string electric Can-Gitty(tm), handcrafted in the C. B. Gitty workshop. Built in the style of the popular "Can-Jo"s", this little instrument looks good, is easy to play, and hand-made in the USA - all at a great price! This instrument is fretted diatonically, which means that all of the "in between" notes are left out - so it is almost impossible to hit a "wrong" note on this little gitty. We also developed a way to incorporate a rod piezo pickup under the can, with a nice chrome output jack plate, so that you can plug this into your favorite amp for all sorts of volume and effects! It also puts out a good twangy sound unamplified, for practicing or back porch pickin". These Can-Gitty"s feature hardwood necks (oak, maple or poplar) and unwound plain steel strings of .013" gauge. The special metal cans are labeled with a custom-designed C. B. Gitty label. The frets used on the neck are nickel-silver "Jumbo" frets, which give the fretboard more of a "scalloped" feel.
