The Sterling SafeD carabiner is made from lightweight aluminum and features a 2-stage twist lock gate mechanism that requires the user to twist the gate sleeve before opening. It also features a removable captive eye pin allowing a rope with a sewn eye to be attached to it at any time. The SafeD is UL certified to NFPA 1983 Light Use.
