Welcome!This wonderful Bandura - is one of the first early works by one of the most famous and honoured masters of Ukrainian Bandura - Sklyar Ivan Mykhailyvych. He created it during the period from 1925 till 1935. Sklyar Ivan Mykhailyvych (1906 - 1970) (12. 02. 1906, Myrgorod- 26. 10. 1970, Kyiv) - an outstanding bandura player who comes from Myrgorod. He participated (from 1927) and was the leader (1933 - 43) of Myrgorod bandura players ensemble. From 1943 he was the soloist of the State Ukrainian Chorus named after G.VeryovkaSklyar I.M. is an author of numerous songs and compositions for a folk instrument Bandura.He improved Bandura and other instruments, created different types of orchestral Bandura. In 1952 he at first created a mass production line of Bandura at Chernihiv Musical Instrument Factory. This Bandura belonged to the collection of Chernihiv historical museum, but because of the difficult economic conditions the museum had to put it on sale.
