The "clay bodies" are manufactured from the finest clean burning, sulphur-free clays available, with a minimum of clay warpage and cracking. Sax Cream White Clay is a highly versatile earthenware clay capable of rendering delicate hand-built forms, graceful wheel thrown pieces or bold sculptures. The unique qualities of this Sax Clay allow for extended working time, making it ideal for the ceramic classroom. Dark Clay in its moist form, it fires to a white bisque and matures to a beautiful cream. The ideal firing range is 04-06 but it can be fired as high as cone 7 (1855 -1971 ). Results may vary due to the many differences in techniques, glazing and firing procedures. 50 lbs. moist.
